2. PROVISION OF THE WEBSITE (LOGFILES)
2.1 Description and scope of data processing
When you access our website, i.e., even if you do not register or otherwise submit information, general information is automatically collected. This information (server logfiles) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address, referrer URL, the date and time of access, and similar data.
These are processed primarily for the following purposes:
• Ensuring the smooth connection to the website,
• Ensuring the smooth use of our website, as well as
• Ensuring and evaluating system security and stability, particularly for misuse detection, and
• For technically error-free presentation and optimization of our website.
The data is also stored in the logfiles of our system. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. However, we reserve the right to review the server logfiles retrospectively if there are concrete indications of illegal use.

We use service providers for the operation and maintenance of our website who act as our processors. All service providers are contractually obligated to treat your data confidentially.

3.1 Description and scope of data processing
Our website provides a contact form that can be used for electronic communication. If you make use of this option, the personal data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored. The processing of your personal data is solely for the purpose of processing your inquiry.
At the time of sending the message, the following data will also be transmitted and stored:

  • Employment times (working hours, on-call hours, standby hours, presence and absence times, working time proportion, remaining flexible working hours), login data for time tracking tool

  • IP address
Alternatively, you can contact us via the provided e-mail addresses. In this case, the personal data sent with the e-mail by the user will be stored. This includes:
  • Personal data (first name, last name, academic title)

You can also contact us via the provided telephone number. In this case, we collect log data that includes your phone number and the duration of the call. We generally do not record calls.

3.2 Recipients of the data
Our website is maintained by service providers acting as our processors. If you send us an inquiry regarding an offer, service providers we use may receive data for these purposes, provided they require the data to fulfill their respective services (e.g. IT services, call centers). All service providers are contractually obligated to treat your data confidentially.

4. NEWSLETTER
4.1 Description and scope of data processing
Your data is used exclusively for the purpose of sending you the subscribed newsletter via e-mail and, insofar as you have additionally consented, for analyzing how you use the newsletter and any content linked within it. Providing your name allows us to address you personally in the newsletter and, if necessary, to identify you if you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.
To verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of the e-mail address, we use the "Double-Opt-In" procedure (DOI procedure) for online registrations. This means that after your newsletter registration, you will receive an e-mail in which you must confirm your newsletter subscription by clicking on a link.
At the time of DOI confirmation, the following data is also stored:
  • Location, date, and time of registration
  • E-mail address
  • If applicable, salutation, first name, last name
Additionally, we analyze your reading and usage behavior in order to continuously improve our newsletter and adapt it to your interests and needs. For this purpose, we analyze whether and what you read or click on in our newsletters to make them more attractive.
